IEEE Region 6 Featured Student Branch: UNLV

The UNLV IEEE Student Branch is an active component of ECE and CS students of the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. We provide pathways for our students to network with their peers as well as professionals through all of our events. Through out the year, we offer students the chance to participate and learn in soldering workshops, MATLAB workshops, microcontroller workshops, internship info sessions, and EE Talks given by professionals in the industry and in academia.UNLV Collage

Recent Accomplishments

  • Significant increase in branch membership and graduate student involvement
  • Provided workshops for: Micromouse, MATLAB, and soldering
  • Partnered with other organizations such as SWE, ASME, ASCE, adn NSPE
  • Hosted internship information sessions for electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering students
  • Invited speakers from industry and academia to give talks
